Young Children in Contexts: Understanding and Supporting Their Development
Linlin Yao
Description from DukeHub
This course examines how young children develop as whole persons within the complex worlds they live in. Students will understand development as an integrated process. They will consider children's behavior, emotions, communication, learning, relationships, and their environmental factors influence and are influenced by each other over time. Through this course, students will learn to interpret children's behavior in more thoughtful ways, and also consider how adults in different professional roles can support young children's growth, and well-being.
