Stronger Than You Think

Maria Finnegan

Description from DukeHub

Strength comes in many forms: from physical and intellectual to personal and social. In this course, students will explore these various aspects of strength using the weight room as the classroom. This course is for anyone, and especially for students who feel underrepresented in traditional weight room settings. Students will participate in discussions and lessons to learn strength training technique and form, track progress with workout journals, participate in individual and group training sessions, and work together to let go of any prior 'gymtimidation.' Every session is designed to build confidence, foster community and belonging, and help students discover that they are stronger than they think.
